Millennial Generation and the State of Black Community

The Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists will hold a press conference covering the theme of Millennial Generation and the State of Black Community, at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in the Student Center at St. Louis Community College Florissant-Valley.

This press conference is being held in conjunction with the organization’s Minority Journalism Workshop.

Christopher Pulphus, a student participant from the journalist workshop, will serve as the moderator. Our panelists are:

  • Eric Rowe, Principal at South City Prep School

  • Stefan M. Bradley, Professor at Saint Louis University in the Department of History

  • Courtney Allen Curtis, Missouri State Representative

  • Antonio French, Alderman of St. Louis in the 21st Ward

  • Etefia Umana, Student Counselor at Cardinal Ritter Prep High School

     

The Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists hosts an annual Minority Journalism workshop for high school and college students. The workshop features a staff of professionals in the fields of media and journalism that work with the students and provide opportunities for minorities to get experience in media and journalism.
