SOCIAL MEDIA WORK

Facebook Live | "Stay Tuned"

To build engagement around our local public affairs show, I coordinated with producers and our I.T. department to do a Facebook live stream during the show's taping. It allowed people to ask questions and comment throughout the program. At our peak, we had more than 205 viewers during the live stream, 15,000 unique viewers overall, and more than 16,000 video views. We also had more than 200 comments, 50 shares, and 220 reactions.

Live Tweeting | "Donnybrook" 30th anniversary

For the 30th anniversary show of a local show called "Donnybrook," the producer wanted to include a live tweeting element, so throughout the show, I engaged with followers as well as selected tweets for use on-air. By the end of the show, the show trended at the No. 2 spot locally and moved to No. 1 overnight.

Facebook video series | Nostalgia

In a digital-first content experiment on Facebook, I worked with our senior director of content to create shareable nostalgic moments to generate engagement among our followers as well as new potential followers. This series produced some of the highest engaged posts and most-watched videos of the year.

Campaign

Campaign | "Gentlemen of Vision"

Nine Network produced a national documentary called "Gentlemen of Vision," which is about a local step team who were national champions and whose members have a 100 percent high school graduation rate. To get people excited and engaged with this story, we launched a social media campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram one month ahead of the premiere and created digital shorts, GIFs, and graphics to support it. It was one of our largest digital undertakings that produced close to half a million impressions and 3,000 engagements.

Chat

Twitter Chat | Suspended Futures

Leading up to a large education town hall, I coordinated a Twitter Chat with local organizations to engage them around the topic of school discipline as well as created opportunities for including these throughout the broadcast. I reached out to multiple organizations for participation and collaborated with the town hall producer on the goals and questions of the chat. We used 10 questions during the hour-long chat, which had more than 70 unique screen names and 500 tweets.
